Ajahn Chah, a renowned teacher in the Thai Forest Tradition of Theravada Buddhism, was born in Thailand in 1918. At the age of 21, he ordained as a monk and dedicated his life to practicing and teaching meditation in the forest monasteries of Thailand.
Ajahn Chah's teaching style was simple and direct, emphasizing the importance of mindfulness and the cultivation of wisdom. His teachings resonated with a diverse range of students from all over the world, earning him widespread respect for his profound insights and compassionate guidance.
Central to Ajahn Chah's teachings was the exploration of the impermanence and unsatisfactoriness of worldly existence.
